I’ve been rocking with a bob haircut for at least the last 20 years (yikes— dating myself!). From the early 2000’s when ‘The Rachel” long bob (aka a lob) was all the rage, to an asymmetrical stacked bob haircut.

 

 

Then we passed the first decade of the millennium. Yes, like my forever First Lady, Michelle Obama, I was seen with a face-framing bob.

 

 

I always wore my bob back then with a middle part. A little pop culture history for ya— Bravo’s Real Housewives ushered in the face-framing layers hairstyle by way of the middle part.

 

 

A bob haircut goes beyond Real Housewives

And remember those hideous tank tops The Real Housewives of Orange County wore (the First Ladies of the franchise)? The generous cleavage showing tank tops with insanely huge bedazzled jewelry?

The jewelry, y’all.

Why was it necessary for the ginormous sundial shaped jewelry to come sewn to those OC tank top specials right smack in the middle of the chest?

Those be-jeweled shirts should’ve been ousted like hairstyles with side parts back then, and side-chicks— no-one should’ve claimed ’em!

All the way fast forward to 2020 and into the age of COVID. I’m STILL rocking a bob haircut. Admittedly a little out of shape these days (corona hair don’t care). But yet, a bob haircut is still me.
