Charcuterie boards by definition, have cold cuts or meats. Your boards don’t have to include meats; you can have holiday treats, breakfast food, desserts, candy, hot chocolates, dinner food or s’mores, to name a few creative charcuterie board ideas.

Creative Charcuterie Tips

Charcuterie boards are fun to make because you can get as creative and as over the top as you want.

You can also choose to keep it simple and still have the most beautiful platter presentation!

1. One of my favorite serving items to use when making a charcuterie board is a marble platter. The Mister is a builder, so I nabbed a brand new marble tile from him.

This was a rectangular tile that worked for a hearty buffet.

2. Wooden charcuterie boards and circular boards are also popular ideas.

3. I also like to use a small pedestal platter and little relish dishes to separately hold dips and sauces or other items you may want to be separated.

4. You can also use arugula as a dual garnish and separator on your boards.

I love serving up these boards for appetizers. My family woofs down so much of this that I’m always surprised that they still have room for dinner, but they do!
