Hello, Sunshine! As we wrap up our time here in LA, I wanted to take a moment and capture some of the natural beauty that surrounds the Golden State. Perhaps because I’m originally from flat lands on the east coast, I’m so fascinated with mountains, hills and valleys. I’m amazed every time with the many houses that are nestled in the California hills. I want to ask every time, “How did they get those up there?!”, like it’s the eighth wonder of the world or something! I’m trying not to take for granted the natural wonders around us. I get so much inspiration from what always is. I’ve been really enjoying sunsets, mountains and desert lands lately. Stay tuned here, as I’ll have more travel posts to share with you soon!

Postcard Views

This time I remembered to snap several postcard style photos to share with you some of my favorite in California natural landscapes. These photos were taken at Griffith Park in Los Angeles, which I highly encourage that you take a day to visit. You can explore the hills and trails in the park. A drive to the top of the mountain brings you to the Griffith Observatory. Inside the building, there are the most amazing exhibits where you’ll learn all about astronomy. I’m by no means a science fanatic, and I found the exhibits to be super fascinating! There’s even a planetarium inside with live shows! Outside the building is the observatory, where you’re literally standing on top of the hill looking over the spectacular city of Los Angeles! There are telescopes for looking out, along with perfect eye sight views of the Hollywood Sign. You have to take in the views at the observatory both day and night, and tell me which view you like best! Griffith Observatory has a permanent place on my list of all-time favorite attractions.

Also, my glamorous leopard jumpsuit is care of my partnership with SheIn.com (another Los Angeles brand ;-). The pictures I’ve posted here are from a styled photo shoot back in early December. I actually wore this jumpsuit recently to the Bruno Mars concert in Las Vegas during the New Year’s weekend. Here’s the one picture I remembered to take while walking through New York New York Hotel on the way to the concert. Forgive me, I get really excited and forget things when I’m about to see Bruno Mars live!!! Luckily, you can see in this picture all of the accessories that I wore to style this jumpsuit; which is by the way priced affordably under $30!

My Style with Whimsy Tip:

I’m never afraid to mix patterns and prints! In fact, I almost never purchase pre-coordinated sets. For my concert style, I wore this all-over leopard jumpsuit with high heel, all-over bling boots! Rock star, much?! 😉
